Description:

Volpi traditional Italian Prosciutto ham originates in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, the bread basket of Italy. Like its true Italian counterparts, Volpi prosciutto is the product of a long, unhurried drying process lasting a minimum of 210 days. Each ham is carefully inspected and hand-trimmed by a master Salumiere. It is then carefully rubbed and salted to ensure an air-dried, even cure. The result is a soft, sweet flavor.

1Not HappySep 07, 2010
As of today Sept 7th, 2010 I still have not reeived this product and I ordered on the 5th of August! Emailed the company and no will responed to me. Will never order from them again as I have now paid for a product that I have not gotten and they will not give me a credit!!!

5Better then Fiorucci, very good and sweetDec 03, 2009
I ma Italian and used to eat Parma prosciutto. I find Volpi's prosciutto to be great. It is much better and sweet then Fiorucci and it cost less. You cannot find better in the USA, and is better then some chip prosciutto sold even in Italy. Great also teh salami that has a real skin not plastic. Go for. Maurizio

3Deli prices are typically $10 per poundFeb 24, 2007
It's hard to get as thin a slice at home but it's also quite a luxury to have this on hand. The ham I got resembles the picture's wide end up to the bottom red area beneath the white letters in the photo and is missing the upper protuberance. I got a bit more than 4 lbs and less than 5 lbs.

With the $8.75 shipping, this ham is per pound more expensive than delis which slice this for you.

Made in USA
