 A Beautiful Rasberry Cream BeadApr 25, 2012

This is a lovely vead by Heirloom called Raspberry Cram. The color is vivid and almost intoxicating. I saw the "Stepanie" wrote up this bead and indicated that there was more clear glass/or "White Space" ikn this bead than she would have liked. I understand what she means. I ordered two of them from Heirloom Online...the vendor itself...and one of them was almost a solid pink and the other had more clear/or "white space" than I would have liked. I guess it is the luck of the draw, but mine was not bad enough to send back.
I am writing this up because Heirloom makes at least one more bead like this. It is blue and purple and is called Twilight Sky. Today I helped a girlfriend make a necklace using Twilight Sky. She used two of them with one on either side of a Dangle which she used for the Center Piece. It was a very Nice letter "C" that she happened upon when skulking through GoodWill on one of her frequent forays. Sterling and one and a half inches tall. Nice find! She had a blue and purle and grey dressy shirt to wear it with and the Twilight Sky made it quite esquisite. Twilight Sky Murano Style Glass and Solid 925 Sterling Silver Core Bead fits European Charm Bracelet. I also found Pink Swirl by Vicki Fulaski to be beautiful and full of movement. Heirloom also makes one of these in blue and did make one in two shades of brown which was georgeous. It might still be available. If you are interested, call Heirloom's 800 number. I have used the brown one on a couple of bracelets. I love it.
When turned sideways, which is how they are on a bracelet or necklace, the color shows through quite nicely and it does not matter that clear glass is present. I have used all four of these beads together on a bracelet and like Stepanie pointed out, the beads rotate and seem to move...almost off the bracelet. It is a really attractive design. I was looking at Pandora beads under "arts and crafts" and noted that another company has put a similar bead out in green and pink. I am not crazy about the combination, but it it works for a project you are doing then look for if under "arts and crafts:" Pandora beads: pink. If you get lucky it will come up under pink, the Rasberry Cream by Heirloom, did. If not, you will have to go through 20 or so pages to find it. But, it might be worth the time. It was for me when I was looking for Raspberry Cream.
So, I definitely recommend this colorful, swirling bead to you. I did take one Star off because of my agreement with the first reviewer that the clear space CAN LOOK detrimental, but, in my opinion, once it is on your jewelry, it is not a problem. So, have a good day beading on Amazon, and if you like pink, this is a good one to go with.

I was a little disappointed with this bead. Mine has more white than Raspberry in it, so the color is not as vivid as I had hoped. It does fit my Pandora bracelet, but I'd say it's "just ok."
