5My New AddictionApr 19, 2006
By Autumn Hernandez
I too received a nice sized jar of this through bzzagent to try out. Until then I had heard of it from the Food Channel and such, but had never been adventurous enough to try it. Boy was I missing out. I distinctly remember a box of chocolates that I received from a jr. high boyfriend that were chocolate hazelnut that I fell in love with. Until now, I have never found anything that came close as far as taste. Nutella definitely filled that void for me. It's creamy and chocolatey, and the hazelnut taste is not overpowering or anything. My family and I love it on graham crackers, apple slices, pretzels, actually anything we can find to dip into it or spread it on. lol It's a nice change from peanut butter which is also a close second for me. ;)

5Everyone loves it. Great on soft white bread. Yummmmmy!Dec 15, 2005

I grew up as an Army brat in Germany and my mom is German. Because of the commercials and the kids there, I somehow got a chance to taste this stuff and the first time I saw it here in the U.S. I nearly screamed with joy. I bought jars for my friends so that they got a chance to enjoy it. Hopefully they haven't or will not Americanize it by adding extra sugar.

"Kinder Chocolate" eggs with toys inside are next, or just the bars.

Delicious & tasty product. Much cheaper buying it on amazon than in the stores. 2 jars are actually worth it.

I bought this product to make nutella and banana filled crepes. It was definitely very delicious. I later found that Safeway sells the same product at the same price so I probably won't buy again just to avoid the shipping cost.

Anyhow, the product itself was fine and very good. However, it's not that much of a bargain.

4My kids love it, and I sneak spoonsful tooSep 19, 2011
By Lisa Kearns "Mom of Four"
I know Nutella has been around a long time in Europe, but we just recently discovered it. I bought a tiny, expensive jar from the grocery store and it was gone in two days. When I found these large (26 oz) jars sold in a two-pack from Amazon (free with SuperSaver shipping!) I bought several. I pack our lunches every day, and I'm always looking for something other than lunch meat, PB&J or leftovers.

From a Mom's standpoint, I like Nutella because it contains hazelnuts, and doesn't contain preservatives, artificial flavors or anything too suspicious. It does contain a lot of sugar, but if I use whole wheat bread for their sandwiches I don't feel that it's junk food. I wish they would make a low-sugar Nutella. I noticed that Amazon has several Nutella offerings, some of them made in Europe with the traditional (less sugary) recipe.

The kids love Nutella because it's chocolaty and sweet. They like it on apple slices and also just as a sandwich without additional peanut butter or jelly.
