Poor qualityApr 14, 2010
By Ali K. The lining does not go through the bead, there are only two end caps, and those are not secured, Ive had 4 of them come apart during shipment and/or during handling.

Why not be honest?Dec 07, 2009
By E. Swope If you think you are selling a good product, why not be honest in your title and description? There are some products from China which are well made. There are artists in China who do fine work. That is not what you are selling. More to the point, it is not the work of Muranese artists. You are abusing the name of highly trained artists with a proud tradition of quality work.
I repeat; if you think you are selling a good product, why not be honest about what it is? Why slap someone else's name on it?
Just for the record, since you don't seem to understand how these are made; they are NOT BLOWN. Blown beads are hollow and produced quite differently than these, which are mandrel wound. In general, these production line beads are quickly wound on a mandrel, then pulled off and rolled in a frying pan over a flame to remove rough edges. That saves some finish time and also disguises the uneven ends produced when glass is wrapped quickly, production style. They are then strung or tossed in a bag for export, not placed in a kiln while still hot (as they are in Murano) to remove stress and produce a safe and durable product. They are not made in Murano, in the style of Murano or to the finish level, with the attention to detail which the artists of Murano use.
