My favorite Coffaro biscottiMay 10, 2011

These are my favorite Coffaro biscotti. I have tried quite a few of their different flavors, among them Almond, Hazelnut with Orange Zest Olive Oil and Pistachio with Lemon Zest Olive Oil. And while all of them are good, I particularly like the Blueberry with Lemon Zest variety because it strikes a perfect balance between sweet and tart. The other flavor I tried that has lemon zest (the one with pistachio), is relatively unremarkable in taste so it really is the blueberries that make these so yummy. On a general note, I seem to prefer the Coffaro biscotti that are made with olive oil. These seem heartier and more satisfying to eat than the regular ones.
So if you are like me and enjoy a certain tartness in all the sweet flavors, this is the one to get. I have them on subscription :-)
